MEASURING WINDOW WIDTH
Measure the window in three different places. The top, middle, and bottom. (This may be necessary because not all windows are perfectly square.)
Take the widest of the 3 measurements, and round it to the nearest 1/8 inch.
Multiply this width by 2 or 3, depending on desired fullness.
Order this Width.
MEASURING WINDOW LENGTH
Measure length requires a decision of where to have the bottom of the curtain. The three choices are to the window’s sill, apron, or the floor.
(This link shows where the windowsill and apron are.)
Once you have decided where to have your curtain fall, follow the directions according to your decision.
MEASURING TO THE WINDOWSILL
Measure from where your curtain will be hung to the windowsill, and round it to the nearest 1/8 inch.
Subtract 1/2 inch from this number. (Typically curtains hang this far above the windowsill)
Order this Length.
